Supervision
I am a qualified supervisor with many years of experience in supervising therapists, trainee therapists, counsellors, and health and social care staff and hold a certificate in supervision from the Society for Analytical Psychology.
Who Needs Supervision?
Supervision is a mandatory requirement for qualified and trainee therapists and counsellors. It is essential for effective therapy and is a non-negotiable requirement of professional accrediting organizations such as:
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP)
Many therapists and counsellors regard supervision as the most crucial element supporting and developing their practice.
Model of Supervision
The supervision I offer is psychoanalytic or psychodynamic, utilizing the “Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision” developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet.
